Empowering Women and Educating Children

The Peace Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the disadvantaged, impoverished, disabled, and marginalized communities in the rural areas of Tirunelveli district. Our mission is to extend a helping hand through financial aid and philanthropy to various groups of people. We provide both tangible and intangible assistance such as monetary aid, educational resources for underprivileged students, and clothing for homeless children, including dropouts, street children, and orphans.

We organize awareness programs on various topics including health, hygiene, and sex education. Additionally, we conduct training classes and activities for young girls in rural areas. The Peace Association is committed to providing essential services to needy individuals, families, women, and widows to enhance their quality of life.

Our regular services include family counseling, legal aid, effective referrals, psychological support, insight creation, ventilation, and environmental modification. Our social service aims to improve the lives of rural people, facilitate adjustment, and provide solutions for family problems, psychosocial issues, and economic challenges.

Objectives

1. To resolve family conflicts and foster a peaceful environment among family members.

2. To raise awareness of society members on various rights and roles.

3. To change negative attitudes, behaviors, and beliefs that are barriers to peace.

4. To increase mass awareness and education on peacebuilding processes.

5. To build the capacities of women and young girls on the peacebuilding process, leadership, skills improvements, women’s rights, participating in the political process and decision making.

6. To advocate for women’s issues, women’s participation in strategic plans, drafting laws and legislations to fit in women’s interests.

7. To defend human rights and restore dignity to all persons.

8. To contribute to peace and security by promoting collaboration among groups and individuals through culture and education.

9. To promote regional peace and stability through abiding respect for justice and the rule of law.
